If you are given the responsibility of buying electric hand dryers for your office, restaurant, service station, etc you will be surprised at the number of factors that need to be taken into account. An electric hand dryer may look like a simple device hanging on the wall but there are a number of issues that need to be considered.
Cost:
Commercial electric hand dryers can cost as little as $150 and the price can go up in stages as high as $1,000. Of course, like everything else, you get what you pay for. It is not that the low price models will fail, all hand dryers will comfortably last seven or eight years, the difference is in features. If you want a unit that goes beyond the basics; if you want one that operates with a sensor rather than a push button or if you want one that dries hands fast or one that is energy efficient; they are available but cost more.
Speed:
Speed is perhaps the most important feature of electric hand dryers. People simply want to go into the washroom and leave again as quickly as they can and waiting 45 seconds or so to dry their hands is not something that most people want to do.
High speed hand dryers are a little more expensive than a conventional unit, but not a great deal.
Energy use:
Of all the commercially available electric hand dryers, high speed models perform better in terms of energy use. If you want hand dryers that perform well and are energy efficient, then a high speed model is your best bet. The only downside is the fact that high speed hand dryers are a little noisier.
Regardless of what model electric hand dryers you eventually choose, you can rest assured that your customers will appreciate the fact that you have opted for the environmentally friendly way to dry hands.
